For years, I’ve been using a machine at my clinic called the CelluM6 Keymodule. I use this machine to loosen hardened connective tissue that is interfering with proper muscle movement. For example, someone with an old shoulder injury may have fibrosis– excessive scarring of strained/sprained muscle tissue; perhaps from overuse or direct trauma such as that caused by a sports injury. Fibrosis can interfere with muscles gliding over one another when engaged in movement, like turning your neck or raising your arms. They can cause muscles to stick together at certain places and can even result in crepitus, a popping or clunking sound in a joint as it moves in a certain direction.
The CelluM6 uses powerful suction and rotating cylinders to grab the skin and attachments below, massaging them and drawing oxygenated blood to the region. I guide the treatment head over the muscle’s line of contraction and use various maneuvers such as scan, radar, rock, and swing to enhance the effect. Patients usually wear a nylon top or pants, depending on the region I’m working on, so that the cylinders of the treatment head do not chafe the skin. The procedure is known as EndermoTherapy, or EndermoSport and is used by top athletes such as golfers and runners to help them reduce the effects of fibrosis.
Another application of the CelluM6 is the reduction of DOMS, or delayed onset muscle soreness. If you are a marathon runner, you know what DOMS is. It’s caused by a variety of factors, including muscle strain and lactic acid buildup following a sporting event. EndermoTherapy can be used to oxygenate tired and sore leg muscles and, with a different setting can move out lactic acid from the area much faster than simple rest. This way, athletes have a shorter down time between events.
So, if you feel like your upper back is tight and knotted up, or your upper shoulders feel stiff all the time; or you are having trouble with your golf swing due to tightness in the chest, shoulders and back, EndermoTherapy may be the thing for you.

Great explanation of what the CelluM6 is and how this treatment is applied. I haven’t worked with this equipment, but I’m contemplating using it in the future.
Thanks.

Hi Gary,
I bought my CelluM6 in 2003 for about $27,000. You can get one for less than half of this on eBay these days. I also use it in a cellulite reduction side business.
